New Sri Lankan Honorary Consulate in Milan
[September 16, 2003 - 9.00 GMT]

The Government of Italy has agreed to set up an Honorary Consulate of Sri Lanka in Milan.

“The post of Honorary Consul will be filled by an Italian national,” Sri Lanka Foreign Ministry said. Currently nearly 30,000 Sri Lankans live in Milan.
