IGP retires

Inspector General of Police T. E. Anandarajah who turns 60 today retired from office yesterday.

Anandarajah joined the Police Department in 1967 as a Sub Inspector and was promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1970. In 1990, he rose to the position of DIG and he took office as IGP in 2002.
