British High Commission
refutes rumours

The British High
Commission, Colombo, today rejected reports that the British government had
advised Britons against travel to Sri Lanka.
“We have only been making
factual updates to its Travel Advice with the recent development of events
in the country”, a communiqué said.
Earlier today David
Morgan, Chairman of England and Wales Cricket Board
confirmed that the England tour to Sri Lanka would go on as scheduled in
November.
