Prime Minister of Nepal here tomorrow

Prime Minister of Nepal Surya Bahadur Thapa is to make a two-day official visit to Sri Lanka beginning tomorrow, November 26. He will be accompanied by a twelve-member delegation.

Prime Minister Thapa is the outgoing chairperson of SAARC. It is customary for the incumbent chairperson to visit each of the SAARC capitals prior to handing over the chair. The 12th SAARC Summit is to be held in Islamabad, Pakistan from January 4-2, 2004.

Premier Thapa will call on President Chandrika Kumaratunga tomorrow. He will also meet Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe. The discussions between the leaders will focus on matters concerning SAARC. 

Foreign Affairs Minister Tyronne Fernando will call on the visiting Premier while Minister Assisting Foreign Affairs Lal Dharmapriya Gamage is scheduled to receive him at the airport.
