President Kumaratunga arrives in Islamabad for the 12th SAARC Summit

President Chandrika Kumaratunga arrived in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad on Sunday (Jan 04) morning (0540 Hrs Pakistan Time). The Sri Lankan leader was received by Mr. Liaquat Ali Jatoi, Minister for Industries and Production and the Sri Lankan High Commissioner for Pakistan General C. S. Weerasooriya. The President and the Sri Lankan delegation was driven in a motorcade to Punjab House and will leave in a short while to the Jinna Convention Centre for the inauguration of the 12th SAARC Summit. President Kumaratunga is due to address the summit today morning (1000 Hrs Pakistan Time).
