AIESEC, the university
based international exchange program, will bring student leaders from all
over the world to hold their International President’s Meeting from the
19-28th of February to Colombo.
AIESEC
is the world’s largest student-managed non-profit educational
organization, which provides opportunities for Sri Lanka’s university
graduates and undergraduates to spend a year abroad gaining work experience
and assimilating the culture and lifestyle of the host country. In a
reciprocal program, AIESEC also brings foreign undergraduates to do
internships in various local companies.
This year’s event,
‘IPM 2004’ graced by President Kumaratunga, Prime Minister
Wickremasinghe and the 200 visiting AIESEC delegates will expose Sri Lanka
to the world and the world to Sri Lanka through a unique Global Village
exhibition.
AIESEC Sri Lanka, which
has been operating in Sri Lanka over the passed eight years, has been
recognized as the second fastest growing member globally and the best
performer in the Asia Pacific region.
