The President’s Fund now online

The President’s Fund today launched its official website www.presidentsfund.gov.lk. The new dedicated website will enable the public to obtain in-depth information of all the services available to them.

The activities of the President’s Fund were initially published as a single webpage in the official website of the Government of Sri Lanka.

Application forms for assistance for medical and educational needs are now available on-line, in addition to all other information pertaining to the President’s Fund.

The President’s Fund was established under an Act of Parliament in 1978. The Fund provides facilities to a large segment of the population. Sri Lankans not able to access certain specialized facilities in the health and education sectors are supported by this Fund and it also extends financial assistance for the promotion of religious and cultural activities.

The activities of the President’s Fund were reorganized to extend greater benefits, particularly to the less affluent and the deprived since 1994.
