Secretary to the Cabinet appointed

Mr. Dharmasiri Wijesinghe, a senior civil servant was today appointed Secretary to the Cabinet.

President Chandrika Kumaratunga made the appointment in terms of the powers vested in the President by Article 51 of the Constitution.

Mr.Wijesinghe a former Cabinet Secretary has also served as Advisor to the President on Cabinet affairs.
