Resumption of talks by August

Cabinet Spokesman Reginald Cooray said the government would resume 'Talks on talks' with the LTTE in three months. Speaking to the media yesterday the Spokesman said that the talks may take place by August.

"The President is keen to have a negotiated settlement to the ethnic conflict and is ready to resume directs talks with the LTTE as soon as possible," said Minister Cooray.
