Bomb
in Colombo [July

A bomb exploded in a
police station near the Prime Minister’s official residence in Colombo
this afternoon, killing six and injuring seven others.
According to Military
spokesman Col. Sumedha Perera the blast was caused by a female suicide
bomber who had been taken to the station for questioning.
This is the first bomb
explosion experienced in the Sri Lankan commercial capital since the signing
of a ceasefire agreement between the Government and the LTTE.
