His Excellency Mr. Lee Hsien Loong

Prime Minister

Republic of Singapore.

Excellency,

I wish to extend my warm felicitations to Your Excellency on your appointment as Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore. You bring to the high office a wealth of experience gained through a long and distinguished service to the country.

Sri Lanka and Singapore have always enjoyed friendly relations. The recent visit of your predecessor to Sri Lanka gave us an opportunity to further consolidate our expanding bilateral ties. I look forward to working closely with you in the years ahead to move our relations to new horizons.

Please accept, Excellency, my good wishes for your good health, personal well being and for the progress and prosperity of the people of Singapore.

Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga.
