The Governments of Sri Lanka and India yesterday finalized the draft of the proposed Indo-Lanka Defence Agreement. Some of the fields that would be included in the agreement are military training, exchange of military intelligence and information and maritime surveillance to prevent illegal activities affecting both countries A five member Indian delegation led by Additional Secretary to the Indian Defence Ministry Ranjith Issar arrived in Sri Lankan yesterday to finalize the draft which was on hold for more than a year.
