Yasushi Akashi, special representative of the Japanese government is due in Colombo. During his seven day visit Akashi is scheduled to meet President Chandrika Kumaratunga, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse and officials of the Peace Secretariat to discuss the current state of the peace process. He will also visit Kilinochchi to hold discussions with LTTE leaders.
