The Ministry of Finance and Planning has set up the Centre for Non Governmental Sector (CNGS) to facilitate NGOs, charitable organizations, associations etc., engaged in relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction work in Sri Lanka. According to Government policy registering of all NGOs and visa extensions for NGOs must be recommended by CNGS.

NGOs are requested to send in such details as the latest Annual report of the organization, audited accounts and financial statements, details of the sources of funding, ongoing projects and programs with estimated costs, proposed projects and programmes with estimated costs and agencies under which projects and programs are implemented or propose to be implemented.

A meeting in this regard will be held Monday, March 7 at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute Auditorium.
