TNS poll says President Kumaratunga - ‘Leader with Sri Lankan Values’

In a nationwide poll conducted by TNS under the auspices of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) President Kumaratunga was voted as the ‘Leader with Sri Lankan Values’. 

The awards ceremony was held on Monday March 28^th. Former captain of the country’s  Cricket squad Sanath Jayasuriya was adjudged the ‘Sportsman of the Masses’ and veteran cinema personality Malini Fonseka was named the ‘Best Entertainer – Performing Arts’. 

The awards were presented based on a nationwide research conducted by TNS, one of the leading market research agencies in the world. The research sample represented different social classes, age groups and professions from across the island.
