President and Rauff Hakeem discuss Muslim concerns

[June 23, 2005 - 11.00 GMT] 

President Kumaratunga met with Mr. Rauff Hakeem, MP, Leader of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress, regarding the proposed Tsunami Relief Council (Post-Tsunami Operational Management Structure) and other issues related to the ethnic conflict today - 23rd June 05. Mr. Hakeem raised the issue of greater Muslim participation in the Tsunami Relief Council.

President Kumaratunga and Mr. Hakeem had extensive discussion regarding Muslim concerns. Mr. Hakeem indicated that he will consult with his party the matters discussed with the President.
