Victims of British blasts still being identified

British authorities are still in the process of establishing the identities of last Thursday's bomb victims by way of DNA testsAccording to a Foreign Ministry communiqué the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has informed the Sri Lanka High Commission that thus far there have been no Sri Lankan nationals among the reported casualties . 

Ms. Shynuja Parathasangari who has been reported missing, and Mr.Pravishan Vijeyedran who was injured and to admitted to hospital are both holders of British passports and are of Sri Lankan origin.   

The high Commission is in the contact with the relatives of both Ms. Parathasangari and Mr. Vijeyedran in London, and has expressed readiness to assist them in whatever way possible.  

British authorities say that a family reception center has been set up at Heathrow and other airports to provide assistance to relatives arriving in the UK to call on the injured or seek information about victims of the blast. Sri Lankan residents in London have been requested to provide the authorities with the names of those coming into the UK ,their flight numbers, dateand timeof arrival .
