Three Deputy Ministers

Three Members of Parliament were sworn in today [12th August] as Deputy Ministers before President Chandrika Kumaratunga.

1. Hon. Mahindananda Aluthgamage MP - Deputy Minister of Samurdhi & Poverty Alleviation

2. Hon. H. R. Mithrapala MP - Deputy Minister of Trade, Commerce & Consumer Affairs

3. Hon. Nirmala Kotalawala MP - Deputy Minister of Small & Rural Industries

MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage’s appointment is in addition to his present portfolio of Deputy Minister of Power & Energy.
