Ten
new Envoys present credentials to President

Five new
Ambassadors who would be resident in Colombo viz Durga Prasad Bhattari
of Nepal , Pio Mariani of Italy, Tin Oo Lwin of Myanmar, Ali Hamad
Mubarak Al- Marri of Qatar and the European Union’s Julian Wilson
presented their letters of credence to President Chandrika Kumaratunga
on Monday 31st October at President’s House.
Ambassadors for
Brazil, Serbia & Montenegro, Armenia, the Slovak Republic and Greece
Messrs Jose Vicente de sa Pimentel, Vuk Zugic, Ashot Kocharian,
Alexander Ilascik and John Economides respectively, who will be based in
New Delhi, also presented their credentials on the same date in
Colombo.
