Sri Lanka participates at first ever specialty tea trade fair in US

The Sri Lankan tea industry will be participating at the first specialized trade fair, the World Tea Export from March 27-29 in the United States at the Las Vegas Hilton. The United States is one of the high value markets for the local export sector.

According to officials of the Sri Lanka Tea Board (SLTB), there would be five tea exporting companies participating at this event in the 800 sq. feet Sri Lanka pavilion. Empire Teas Private Limited, Sun Shine Private Limited, Kas and Kami Internaitonal Prinvate Limited, Ceylon Royal Tea and Supplies Private Limited and Amabassador Tea Private Limited are the participating companies during the trade event.

World Tea Export is the premier market place and tea trade show for the North American tea industry. The World Tea Expo in a Tea Trade Show and Tea Conference produced annually and has been on the faster growing trade shows in the US.

This trade event provides for a business to business convention which would include some of the top tea producing nations such as Sri Lanka, India, Kenya and China.

During this Expo they would be promoting specialty teas and value addition tea products in a bid to provide for the global tea industry the diversification of exports while making consumers aware of and enhance their knowledge on specialty teas for export from Sri Lanka.
