Sri Lankan Missions abroad to brief foreign buyers and tour operators

Enterprise Development and Investment Promotion Minister Rohitha Bogollagama     has assured members of the Tourism industry and the apparel clusters that the Government will assign Sri Lankan Missions abroad to meet the respective buyers and tour operators personally and brief them on the ground situation in Sri Lanka with real facts and figures.
 
The Minister made this comment when the members of the two clusters met at the Ministry of Finance and raised issue of false propaganda being spread among the international business community.
 
Minister Bogollagama further said that during the first quarter of this year the export industry had performed extremely well.  The Minister also undertook to issue a statement to all the buyers and tour operators overseas on the present situation of the country.  He further instructed the Chairman of the Board of Investment to operate a special counter at the Airport to facilitate buyers and tour operators who are visiting the country.
