Sonic booms cause panic [Friday, June 23, 2006 - 9.00 GMT]

A few sonic booms released by aircraft under training in the general area off Uswetakeiyyawa, Wattala this morning (23) around 10.15 a.m. caused panic among the public in the area.

According to the National Security website the fighter aircraft were under training along the coastal areas stretching from Wattala to the Kalutara area Friday morning.
