UK companies rate Sri Lanka as a top investment destination [Friday, July 14, 2006 - 9.30 GMT]

The United Kingdom’s (UK) cooperate giants Marks and Spencer and Aviva Life International rated Sri Lanka as a top investment destination.  This was reported during the Sri Lanka investment round table which was held at the Commonwealth Secretariat in London. 

Over 150 potential British investors and Sri Lankan cooperate leaders attended this event. The Commonwealth Business Council Friday, July 14, 2006as organised this event with the collaboration of Board of Investment of Sri Lanka.

The officials of Marks and Spencer have pointed out that ethical strengths, major tax incentives, on time delivery, lowest level of rejections as key reasons that make Sri Lanka an attractive destination for investors.
