Only 3850 Muttur displaced remain in camps in Kantale out of the original 59, 723 internally displaced by the surge of LTTE violence in Muttur and surrounding areas during the past few months, according to Government sources. Over the weekend the displaced voluntarily agreed to move into their hometown as the Security Forces had successfully eliminated the terrorist threat to the areas by capturing the LTTE strong holds in Sampur. 170 buses were provided to facilitate the transportation.
