STF repulse Tiger attack [Thursday, September 14, 2006 - 11.30 GMT]

Special police forces retaliating to an LTTE attack today shot and killed two LTTE cadres in Mannar, reports the Media Centre for National Security (MCNS).

The terrorists were killed in gunfire when the LTTE attacked a police commando unit known as the Special Task Force. According to the MCNS no government forces were hurt in the incident.
