47th
death anniversary of SWRD

 Mani Shanker Aiyar,
India’s Union Cabinet Minister of Panchayati Raj, Youth Affairs and
Sports, will be the guest speaker at the Bandaranaike commemoration
meeting to be held today at the BMICH, at 5 pm. Aiyar will speak on
‘South Asian politics, especially southern Asia’.
 The 47th
death anniversary of Prime Minister S W R D Bandaranaike, was
commemorated this morning at Samadhi, Horagolla with the participation
of members of the Bandaranaike family and other invitees. President
Mahinda Rajapaksa too attended the event.
