Heads of missions to meet in Colombo tomorrow

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has called to Colombo heads of all Sri Lankan missions abroad for a meeting. The meeting scheduled to start tomorrow will be inaugurated by the President, during which he will brief the heads on Sri Lanka’s peace initiatives and development issues.

The three-day meeting will include discussions on diplomatic relations, promotions and consular issues said a spokesperson from the Foreign Ministry. According to the Foreign Ministry the meeting will help Sri Lanka make use of its resources to the maximum.

Some 52 heads are expected to attend the meeting which will have separate sessions also covering regional issues.
