Navy destroys two LTTE boats
[Friday, November 10, 2006-3.45 GMT]

The Navy this morning destroyed two LTTE suicide boats posing as fishing vessels in the waters of Salli-Sambaltivu, North of Trincomalee off the coast of Nilaveli.

The Media Centre for National Security (MCNS) reports the Sea Tigers have made a practice of mingling with ordinary fishermen using them as covers to carry out attacks on the Navy.

The MCNS says six tigers were on board the two destroyed boats.
