Identified tiger sea bases targeted

The Air Force at around 9.30 this morning targeted two identified tiger sea bases north and south of Mannar, said Military spokesman Brig. Prasad Samarasinghe. 

Speaking at a media press briefing in Colombo today the Brigadier said reports regarding the Army stopping vehicles from entering Trincomalee were false. He said it was a case of the Army intensifying the checking of
vehicles. He said all vehicles entering Trincomalee today were checked. 

Brigadier Samarasinghe said the Mahindapura and Kajuwatta areas were still
under LTTE attack.
