Defence Secretary unharmed in bomb attack
One killed and 14 injured by LTTE suicide killer

Sri Lanka's Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, escaped unharmed when an LTTE suicide killer, targeted the convoy of vehicles in which he was traveling around 10.40 am at Kollupitiya in Colombo today (Dec. 01).

Mr. Rajapaksa a retired Colonel of the Sri Lanka Army is the younger brother of Sri Lanka's President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Defence sources said the suicide bomb attack had been carried out by the LTTE.

According to the Military Spokesman Brig. Prasad Samarasinghe, one person was killed and 12 injured in the attack. The suicide killer had come in a three-wheeler to carry out this attack. The injured have been rushed to hospital.
