Four LTTE terrorists killed after attack on Karuna office

Four LTTE terrorists have been killed when members of the security forces patrolling the area attacked a group of terrorists fleeing after an attack on the political office of the Tamil Peoples' Liberation Tigers Organization (Karuna faction) at Valaichchena in the Batticaloa district yesterday (Jan. 09).
                                                                  
This took place around 11. pm yesterday says Media Centre for National Security (MCNS). 

The LTTE cadres who were fleeing after their attack on the political office of the Karuna faction had also attacked a security forces patrol in the area that confronted them. The four LTTE cadres had been killed in the counter attack by the security forces.  

In search operations after the counter attack the security forces had found the four bodies of the LTTE cadres and three T56 weapons.  

MCNS further also said that two persons were killed and some others injured in the LTTE's attack on the political office of the Karuna faction, which was carried out with grenades and small arms.
