LTTE bomb injures 5 school children

in Jaffna

Five school children were seriously injured in an LTTE claymore bomb attack targeting an army contingent on patrol duty at Sandilipai, Jaffna around 7.45 am today. The children were rushed for medical attention.

The Army Media Centre (AMC) states this attack which targeted members of the security forces has killed one civilian, caused serious injury to another two, while injuring one soldier.

AMC further states that another claymore bomb attack targeting an army truck at Thanankilappu, also in Jaffna at about 8.25 am today, has killed a soldier, injuring two others.
