The security forces have recovered 12 claymore mines, and a large stock of material used for explosives by the LTTE at Veppankum in Vavuniya, in a search operation conducted in the area today.

According to the Army Media Unit (AMU), in addition to the 12 claymore mines, the forces have recovered 30 yards of wire, 10 detonators, 2 time bomb circuits and 7 claymore mine stands as well as remote control equipment and 20 cyanide capsules.
