Claymore attack on
police patrol [Monday,
February 19, 2007 - 8.45 GMT]
A police patrol along the Mannar – Vavuniya highway came under an LTTE
claymore attack near the 21km post around 9.00 a.m. this morning.
The terrorist followed
the attack with small arms fire. The Media Centre for National Security
(MCNS) said the police retaliated and that none of the police personnel
were injured.
