The arms ship that was destroyed off the southern coast yesterday (Feb 28) by the Sri Lankan Navy was carrying among others a huge quantity of 120mm, 130mm and 152mm artillery shells, SAM missiles, high powered outboard motors and night vision glasses for the LTTE, said Navy media spokesman Commander T.D.P. Dassanayake this afternoon.

The 75m – long destroyed ship was supposed to carry a larger consignment of deadly cargo than the previously destroyed arms ships off the eastern and northern coasts.
