Claymore blast injures two
[Friday, March 02, 2007 - 7.00 GMT]  

Two persons, a police officer and a Home Guard were injured when LTTE terrorists carried out a Claymore bomb attack on a police patrol near Irattaperiyakulm railway crossing in Vavuniya at about 11.15 a.m. today. The injured were admitted to the Vavuniya Hospital.

The Media Centre for National Security (MCNS) said that the police and the Army are conducting a search operation in the area.
