LTTE attack injures civilians

An LTTE Claymore attack targeting the political office of the TVMP headed by Karuna Amman in Mailanbaweli, Batticaloa has injured 4 displaced civilians who were taking refuge in the Vigneshwaram School in Mailanbaweli, said the Media Centre for National Security (MCNS). This event had occurred around 7.15 p.m. yesterday (4).
  
One TVMP member who was inside the office was also injured. The injured were rushed to the Batticaloa hospital. “This is yet another instance that shows the callous disregard of the LTTE for the safety of civilians”, the MCNS further said.
