Exodus of people from LTTE held
areas

More and more people are fleeing from LTTE
held areas and coming to areas under government control, states a
communiqué issued by the Media Center for National Security (MCNS).
According to the MCNS a total of 3,638 persons from LTTE held Vavunativu
and Sittandi areas have arrived in the government held area yesterday
(7). These include 497 families from Vavunativu comprising 744 men, 800
women and 1002 children and 280 families from Sittandi comprising 270
men, 358 women and 464 children.
