President congratulates cloning

President
Mahinda Rajapaksa has congratulated the team of veterinarians from the
Faculty of Veterinary Science if the University of Peradeniya who
carried out the first cloning of a goat in Sri Lanka.
The President who today telephoned the head of the research team, Dr.
Basil Alexander to congratulate them on their success, assured him of
all assistance from the Government for further research done in this
area of
science.
The days-old kid named "Peradeniya Kumari" is reportedly in good health.
