Eight persons, including four children died and 18 others were injured
when the LTTE terrorists launched a mortar and artillery attack on
Sittandy, Batticaloa yesterday (29) afternoon, Media Centre for National
Security (MCNS) said. The deceased were from the villages of Sandhiveli
and Varipanachchenai.
