Six persons were killed and 23 others including STF personnel were injured when the LTTE terrorists targeted a Special Task Force (STF) truck in a claymore attack at about 6 p.m. today (28).

Police suspect that the bomb could have been set in a boutique by the road as several shops and vehicles adjacent to the suspected location of the bomb were damaged, says the Media Centre for National Security (MCNS).

The injured were admitted to the Colombo  South Teaching Hospital and the Panadura District Hospital. Police investigations are proceeding.
