Zurich Court extends detention of LTTE cadres

The Criminal Investigative Court in Zurich on Tuesday (29) refused bail and extended the detention of two LTTE cadres Chelliah Kulasekerasingham alias Kulam and Selvarasa Vaikunthan.

Kulam is the Tiger Chief of Switzerland. Vaikunthan is the person in charge of Tamil Youth Organization in Berne. They were arrested on May 3 for attacking and seriously injuring several PLOTE ( A militant Sri Lankan Tamil movement that entered mainstream politics following the Indo- Sri Lanka Accord of 1987) members on May Day near Zurich Metro station.

The Swiss Police have also arrested two other LTTE cadres Sivashanmugathas Saseekaran and Arulnanthan Kumar for the same incident.
