Abduction and killing of Red Cross volunteers:
President orders inquiry

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has ordered a full inquiry into the abduction and killing of two Red Cross volunteers K. Chandra Mohan and S. Shanmugalingam.
  
The victims, both residents of Batticaloa were allegedly abducted last Friday (June 01) evening opposite Fort Railway Station when they returning home after a Red Cross workshop in Colombo. Later their bodies were found in Kiriella with gun shot injuries.
  
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is conducting investigations.
