Britain’s Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs State Minister Dr. K. Kim Howells told President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday (11) at Temple Trees that Britain would assist Sri Lanka to solve the National Question.

Dr. Howells also handed over to the President a letter from Prime Minister Tony Blair.

President discussed the present political situation in the country and informed the British Minister on the terrorist activities of the LTTE. Minister Howells said that such activities couldn’t be condoned.
