President Mahinda Rajapaksa is thankful to the members of the
International Independent Group of Eminent Persons (IIGEP) for the first
Interim Report of the Group received at the Presidential Secretariat on
June 04, 2007, which has since been issued as a Public Report.
The Presidential Secretariat states, the President has directed that a
careful study be made of the observations, concerns and recommendations
stated in this Interim Report. Any response necessary will follow such
study.
