The Army blocked their way and attacked the fleeing LTTE terrorists. Three LTTE cadres were killed and ten others suffered injuries in the incident. Military sources said that one soldier was also killed in the incident.

Meanwhile, at about 2 a.m. this morning (13), the Sri Lanka Navy observed a fleet of LTTE boats sailing southwards from Mulaithivu in an apparent attempt at landing in Pulmodai.
