Sri Lanka – Libya ties grow

Sri Lanka is to gain advantageous access to the Libyan markets and make use of Libyan construction boom to find employment opportunities for Sri Lankan nationals following the visit of Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama to Libya. The Minister was also accompanied by Petroleum and Petroleum Resources Development Minister A H M Fowzie and a nine-member business delegation. A Commercial Consulate will also be set up in Libya to facilitate commercial ties between the two countries.
  
During the visit it was also agreed to set up a Joint Business Council, with private sector interaction, centered on collaboration in the import and export sectors.
