President Bush authorizes humanitarian aid          
[Tuesday, September 11, 2007 - 6.30 GMT]  

President George W. Bush on Monday authorized aid to Sri Lanka to meet the humanitarian needs of internally displaced persons due to the armed conflict with the LTTE. Along with it the President authorized similar aid to Iraq and Lebanon. The total commitment for the three countries is US dollars 24 million.
  
The funds will come from the United States Emergency Refugee and Migration Assistance Fund.
