Ten terrorists killed in retaliatory attack- Muhamalai

At least ten terrorists were believed killed when troops retaliated with an effective counter attack to an LTTE offensive at 6.30 a.m. today (Sep 14).
  
The retaliatory attack took place when the LTTE mounted at attack on the Forward Defence Line at Muhamalai.
  
Defence sources said the LTTE loses were confirmed through intercepted enemy communication. There was an exchange of fire for  nearly an hour in which two soldiers were injured.
  
The injured soldiers were admitted to the military base hospital at Palali.
