Civilians bear brunt of LTTE attack        
[Thursday, September 27, 2007 - 9.00 GMT]   

Two civilians died and 15 were injured in addition to two police personnel in a claymore attack launched by the LTTE in Chunnakam, Jaffna this morning (27), said a press release issued by the Media Centre for National Security (MCNS).
  
The injured civilians were sent to the Thillippalai Hospital and several of them are supposed to be in a critical condition. The injured Police personnel are being treated at the Kankasanturai Hospital.
  
The bomb hidden in a bicycle is supposed to have been targeted at a police vehicle.
